The goals came quick and often on Saturday night as Western Nevada FC rolled to a decisive 9-1 victory over CD Aguiluchos USA 23.
Alan Corona got the scoring started in the second minute with a shot inside the 6-yard box. This lead would be short lived as Aguiluchos scored on a free kick a few minutes later. That would be all of the offense that the visitors would be able to come up with as WNFC scored eight unanswered goals the rest of the night.
Lucio Espitia began the streak with a shot in the 18th minute. Gio Camargo put one home in the 32nd, followed by Espitia again in the 40th and Corona ended the first half with one in the 45th.
The second half saw more of the same with Corona completing his hat trick with a goal in the 56th minute. Goals were added on by Kelsey Waller (60th), Alex Martinez (68th) and Luis Camacho (87th) to reach the 9-1 final.
WNFC remains in third place after this weekend's games and now enters a stretch of four consecutive road games in the next three weeks, starting with this Saturday at California Victory FC. CVFC is the only remaining undefeated team in the Northwest Conference.
WNFC's next home game is on Saturday, June 10 against Boise FC. That game is scheduled for 7 pm at Dayton High School.
